Recovery from chemical dependency is a process, not an event.  The recovery process begins when chemically dependent people first recognize they are having problems because of their alcohol or other drug use.  The goal is reached when they can live a meaningful and comfortable life without the need for alcohol or other drugs.

The Relapse/Recovery Grid describes the process of recovery, identifies common stuck points, review both relapse-prone and recovery –prone styles for coping with those stuck point, and reviews the concept of relapse.  This home study course describes a practical approach to treatment interventions at each stage of the recovery process.
